Customize Dialog, Menu Bar Tab

Contains controls to add, organize, delete, and assign properties to custom menus.

The following controls can be used only in the open DGN file (below the blue V8 icon), unless otherwise noted.

Note: If the open DGN file is not a configured DGN library, you will be unable to use the features on the Menu Bar tab while that DGN file is open.

Setting	Description
New Menu	Adds a new menu. If a menu is selected, the new menu is added at the end of the list of menus. If a menu item is selected, the new menu is added below it. The menu's name must be unique to its parent menu, it can be of any length, and it cannot contain the backslash (\) character.
New Menu Item	Adds a new menu item. If a menu is selected, the new menu item is added at the end of the list of menu items. If a menu item is selected, the new menu item is added below it. The menu item's name must be unique to its parent menu, it can be of any length, and it cannot contain the backslash (\) character.
New Menu Separator	Adds a new menu separator. If a menu is selected, the new menu separator is added at the end of the list of menu items. If a menu item is selected, the new menu separator is added below it.
Cut	Cuts the selected custom menu, custom menu item, or custom menu separator. You cannot cut standard ConstructSim Planner menus, menu items, or menu separators.
Copy	Copies the selected menu, menu item, or menu separator. When you paste the copied item you can change its name. This icon can be used to copy standard ConstructSim Planner menus and menu items.
Paste	Pastes the cut or copied menu, menu item, or menu separator below your insertion point.
Move Up	Moves the selected menu, menu item, or menu separator up one position in the hierarchy. This can occur only if the menu, menu item, or menu separator is not already the first one in the menu. You cannot move up standard ConstructSim Planner menus, menu items, or menu separators. Tip: You also can use the drag-and-drop functionality to move up items.
Move Down	Moves the selected menu, menu item, or menu separator down one position in the hierarchy. This can occur only if the menu, menu item, or menu separator is not already the last one in the menu. You cannot move down standard ConstructSim Planner menus, menu items, or menu separators. Tip: You also can use the drag-and-drop functionality to move down items.
Delete	Deletes the selected menu, menu item, or menu separator. You cannot delete standard ConstructSim Planner menus, menu items, or menu separators.
Main Menu	Menus appear below the blue V8 icon. The standard ConstructSim Planner menus and menu items appear in regular black typeface. If a ConstructSim Planner menu item has an icon, the icon appears next to the menu item’s name. Menus stored in DGN libraries specified by the _USTN_SYSTEM_GUIDGNLIBLIST configuration variable are considered "standard" ConstructSim Planner menus and appear in regular black typeface. This enables your company to create its own "standard" menus that will appear in all DGN files and that cannot be changed by employees. Customized menus and menu items that were added in the open DGN file appear in bold green typeface. Menus and menu items that were deleted from the open DGN file appear in bold red typeface. Customized menus and menu items available in DGN libraries specified by the MS_GUIDGNLIBLIST configuration variable appear in regular green typeface. Menus and menu items deleted from these DGN libraries appear in regular red typeface. Menus that have a plus sign (+) button to the left of them contain menu items that can be viewed by clicking the button. Click the minus sign (-) to collapse the menu. A tilde (~) to the left of a letter indicates that the letter will be underlined when it appears in the menu. Pressing the `<Alt>` key plus an underlined letter activates a menu and pressing an underlined letter activates a menu item. The underlined letter is called an Access key. A dash indicates a line separator on the menu.
Pop-up menu for menus, menu items, and menu separators	Right-clicking a menu, menu item, or menu separator presents a list of actions that you can perform on the selected item. Add — Allows you to add properties to menu custom menus, menu items, and menu separators. New Menu — The effect is the same as clicking the New Menu icon. New Menu Item — The effect is the same as clicking the New Menu Item icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. New Menu Separator — The effect is the same as clicking the New Menu Separator icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Cut — The effect is the same as clicking the Cut icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Copy — The effect is the same as clicking the Copy icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Paste — The effect is the same as clicking the Paste icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Move Up — The effect is the same as clicking the Move Up icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Move Down — The effect is the same as clicking the Move Down icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Delete — The effect is the same as clicking the Delete icon. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected. Rename — Allows you to type a new name for the selected menu or menu item. You cannot rename standard ConstructSim Planner menus, menu items, or menu separators. This is not available when the Main Menu is selected.
Properties	Properties of menus, menu items, tools, or separators appear in the Properties pane when the item is selected.
